Drowning Toddler Saved By Medics In Oceanside

(North County Beat) – On Tuesday, quick-thinking medics rescued a drowning toddler in Oceanside.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. at the North County Fire Training Center on Benet Road. Medics from Reach Air ambulance service, who were present at the training center, heard a woman screaming for help.

The woman had discovered her 18-month-old child floating in a small pond, as reported by the Oceanside Fire Department. The medics immediately responded, alongside paramedics from the Oceanside Fire Department, and performed CPR on the child. The toddler was then airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital.

As of Wednesday, NBC 7 reported that the medical staff at Rady Children’s Hospital are waiting a few days before making a final assessment of the toddler’s injuries.
