(North County Beat) – Temecula’s Vianette Garcia has officially been named Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2024, triumphing in a competitive event held over two days at the Salinas Sports Complex.
The contest featured five talented contestants, including Kyndal Castle (Miss Folsom Pro Rodeo), Summer Fanning (Miss Old Santa Ynez Days Rodeo), Lillian Kier (Miss Clovis Rodeo), and Kate Richardson (Miss Bulls Only Rodeo). Lillian Kier secured the title of 1st runner-up, while Kate Richardson earned the title of 2nd runner-up.
The judging criteria for the competition included categories such as personality, appearance, scholarship, and horsemanship. Garcia distinguished herself particularly in personality and horsemanship, showcasing her skills and charisma. Lillian Kier excelled in the appearance and scholarship categories, and she also received the congeniality award, which is a special honor voted on by her fellow contestants.
As the newly crowned Miss California Rodeo Salinas 2024, Garcia is set to receive several impressive prizes. These include a $3,000 educational scholarship, a gold and silver belt buckle, a gold and silver tiara generously sponsored by the Harden Foundation, and the use of a two-horse trailer for the upcoming year. In addition to these accolades, Garcia will serve as an ambassador for the California Rodeo Salinas and the broader Western lifestyle, participating in various events such as rodeos, parades, and community celebrations throughout California.
